Plunger Position Measurement

Equipment for automated measurement of plungers. Compatible with both Cartridges and PFS.

Technology:

The equipments uses a robust and cost-effective off-the-shelf XYZ gantry system fitted with 12x accurate and repeatable industrial measurement probes.

This combined with a mechanical design focusing on tolerance chains and usability results in a very accurate yet simple and robust setup.

Sensor and system accuracy

The stylus sensor has a low force (0,2N) and an internal accuracy of ±0,002mm (±2µm) with a resolution of 0,5µm

Mounted in a 12x array, where first and last sensor ensure reference measurement for every sampling ensuring high accuracy.

System accuracy (plunger height meausrement) is specified to: 0,05 mm.

Data acquisition and control is handled in TPU’s software. Measurement output files are standard. Optionally the system can interface (send data to) the filling line or other equipment.
